Responding to the seventh Priority Agenda of the Diocese of Cubao, which is “Maximizing New Media for Evangelization”, its Media Ministry gears up the parishes by launching the first-ever diocesan-wide Media Camp.
21 participants from the Social Communications Ministries of 14 parishes will attend the Cubao Media Camp on February 22 to 25, 2020 at St. John Marie Vianney Retreat House in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
These selected participants topped the 10 sessions of the Workshop Series conducted last year.
Teamed up with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Communication, last year’s workshop offered ten courses that covered Effective PowerPoint Presentation, Photography, Graphic Design, News and Feature Writing, Recollection on Theology of Service and Spirituality of Communication, Lighting in Videography and Photography, Videography, Publication Management, Website Design and Management, and Maximizing Social Media.
This Media Camp will be the venue where participants will apply their learnings from the workshop series.
Fr. Herbert Santos, Director of the Diocese of Cubao Social Communications Ministry, hopes that the camp will strengthen the Media Ministry of the Diocese and the parishes as the Church prepares for the forthcoming commemoration of the 500th year anniversary of Christianity in the Philippines. – Leahna Villajos
